A new program called ReSTART has been launched in the US, offering a 45-day, $14,000 program that employs a “cold-turkey” approach to help people wean themselves from “pathological computer use,” which can include obsessive use of video games. Hilarie Cash, one of the centre's bosses commented:

That treatment certainly comes with a price! How many do you think would reconsider that rehabilitation with that cost? I believe prevention is still the best cure for game addiction, and of course discipline. If I had $14000.00 I would go to it. WoW has destroyed my life and I can't stop playing. I don't pay my bills, I missed the first 2 years of my son's life bc of wow. I need help.
