Stones And Pink Floyd Stars Don't Approve Of Rock Band

Oh dear, more anti-peripheral based music games talk, this time coming from the Rolling Stone's Bill Wyman and Pink Floyd’s Nick Mason who believe it distracts kids from playing real instruments. Wyman commented:
“It encourages kids not to learn, that’s the trouble. It makes less and less people dedicated to really get down and learn an instrument. I think is a pity so I’m not really keen on that kind of stuff.”
Mason admitted games like Rock Band were interesting, but:
“It irritates me having watched my kids do it - if they spent as much time practising the guitar as learning how to press the buttons they’d be damn good by now.”
It's a tricky one, because how many people who play Rock Band titles would have actually picked up a guitar in the first place? It's still a videogame.
