More than happy with the implementation of the Havok physics engine in Lost Planet 2, Resident Evil 5, Dead Rising, and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, Capcom has announced development with the middleware engine will continue in future titles. Jun Takeuchi, GM of R&D and consumer games research at Capcom commented:
“We chose to work with Havok because its software is the fastest and most scalable physics engine available. Havok’s support and documentation sets the gold standard in the industry. After a comparison with other companies’ products, we valued the superiority of Havok and adopted its software.”I love the Havok physics engine. I had a Havok glass but stupid real world physics made it break against the floor.
