PS3 Firmware Update 3.0 Last Major Update Of 2009

PlayStation Network operations director Eric Lempel has confirmed the Firmware 3.0 update for PS3 will be the last major update for the console for 2009:

“This is a big and significant update, so you would be correct to assume that [it's the last major update for 2009]."

That doesn't rule out some smaller updates though, if needed.
