Atari have announced in a statement that they will be cancelling several projects "which do not meet higher return on investment criteria and require significant working capital investments.” This is hardly surprising considering recent revelations of Infogrames' losses of €226.1 during the fiscal year of 2009.
Considering the previous year's net loss of €51.1 million, the company looks to "improve the cash position" of its business and to focus on "more cost-effective" mass-market and online games.
At present, there is no confirmation of which projects are to be axed.
