Pachter: Wii Sales Up 100%, Xbox 360 Up, PS3 Down

Microsoft Xbox 360 Console Hardware Sony Playstation 3 Console Hardware Nintendo Wii Console Hardware

Wedbush Morgan’s Michael Pachter has provided his predictions ahead of Decembers NPD data which is released on January 15th:
“I haven’t done the work for NPD yet, but my guess is that 360 sales were flat or up a little, PS3 sales down a little, and Wii sales up more than 100%."

“That would end up around 1.2 - 1.3 million 360s, around 700,000 PS3s and around 3 million (or more) Wiis.”
We'll find out later this month.

I can agree with that.

I myself bought a 360 over Christmas as they are just so cheap.

I still do 90% of my gaming on the PS3 but it's always good to have your options open.

I got a Wii about a year ago and I think i've switched it on about 15 times in that period.

It's funny how things are working out this gen.

IMO the Wii is easily the worst console out there yet it's selling like crazy, the 360 is better but is riddled with faults and is missing so much of the extras you get with the PS3 but it's selling well and the PS3 is the whole package yet it's struggling.

Just goes to show what smart pricing can do for your product.
