Apparently not as Design studio Gridplane reveals one of the many knocked back mock-ups for Microsoft's great new interface, more screenshots at the source. Gridplane also mentioned they're thought up an "immersive 3D environment" for users to socialise and interact him, but of course we know it didn't materialize... hmm reminds me of something else...
