Ex-Capcom and Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami has said he won't be playing Resident Evil 5 when it arrives because it'll cause him too much stress:

"I probably won't play it. I won't like it, because it's not going to be the game I would have made. It'll just cause me stress if I play it. I think it could be fun for gamers to play it, but not for someone who has developed Resident Evil games. If I see anything in Resident Evil 5 that isn't done well, I'll be angry!"Mikami also commented on the similarities between Resident Evil 4 and 5 and stated how the sixth version of the game would need to re-invent the series:
"I think Resident Evil 5 doesn't need to change the series, but Resident Evil 6 will have to reinvent the series with another full model change or else it won't be able to keep on going."Mikami has since let Capcom hence why he's not working on Resident Evil 5, and is currently working on joint Suda 51 horror game with EA and an unannounced game for Sega.

he is 100% right!
The guys working on Resident Evil 5 has completely changed everything about the survival horror game, it's now an survival action game!
They already killed it with Resident Evil 4, RE5 still plays exactly like RE4, if RE6 doesn't change...oh well!
While they are making the game, they should rename it to Citizen Holy 5, Resident Evil was only for Umbrella Corporation, Zombies and survival horror!
xino, Shinja Mikami was the mastermind behind RE4....He isn't apart of RE5, there for he thinks it won't be the game he would have envisioned.
When RE5 was first announced, and it was confirmed Mikami wasn't part of the project i was pissed.
RE5 is similar to 4, because its simply a sequal and more so because the team currently were LOST without this guy, so they are sticking close...but that isn't a bad thing, MANY games do this. Hell, RE4 changed RE forever, why would the sequal do another change?
think about it.
