LittleBigPlanet is only a few days from release in North America, but it seems as if there is a problem with the games release in Europe. GamesIndustry.biz is reporting that the game is being delayed because of a Qur'an reference in the games soundtrack. The developers had this to say in a statement.
"During the review process prior to the release of LittleBigPlanet, it has been brought to our attention that one of the background music tracks licensed from a record label for use in the game contains two expressions that can be found in the Qur'an."
"We have taken immediate action to rectify this and we sincerely apologise for any offence that this may have caused."
LittleBigPlanet was supposed to be released on October 24th in Europe, but now some stores have the release set back as far as November 14th. Hopefully our friends across the pond can get their hands on the game soon.
