Well not quite but after winning the format war (conveniently after winning) a claim has been put to Sony for copyright infringement regarding Blu-Ray technology.Gertrude Neumark Rothschild claims that Blu-Ray infringed on one of her patents and will focus on certain short-wavelength light emitting diodes, laser diodes, and products containing same.
Rothschild who's a Professor Emeritus at Columbia University and has done pivotal research into blue and violet LEDs and clearly seems to know her stuff.
