For those of you wondering just what happened to Unreal Tournament 3 on PS3 you'll be excited to know that Midway were kind enough to confirm a 22nd February 2008 release date for the eagerly anticipated multiplayer FPS.Shouting loud and beating its chest, the PS3 version of the game will allow gamers to play custom mods but with no level editor in sight, it'll be maps created by PC users the PS3 community get to play with. Personally, and I speak for myself when I say this but the idea of a game allowing custom maps got me excited with thoughts of building my own and sharing with friends...
Given the delay of the game, the lack of an editor for its most boasted feature... I tend to think we're gonna see a Virtua Fighter 5 scenario... released later on another format with an online mode... remember? I wouldn't be too surprised to see UT3 on Xbox 360 with an included level editor and highly practical method of sharing and playing these maps... when it's released.
