In (Dead) Space, No One Can Hear You... Pause...?

Face it, we've all done it. Whether after a ferocious onslaught of baddies, or the moment before a big boss showdown, we hit the pause button, heal our health and take a moment before we move on... It helps the player pace them self through the game but what that privilege was taken from you...

Well apparently that's the intention the developers have at EA concerning Dead Space. A survival horror set in space with enough pant wetting scenes and monsters to keep any fan happy (we hope) but this time, with no kind option of calm...

The pause menu you would normally skip to for an excuse to increase your health and take a breather is fully in and thusly doesn't allow you to pause the game at all... will this keep players on the edge of their seats, truly dreading the next corner for fear of being wiped out... or will it infuriate and annoy us to no end... we'll have to wait and see...
