EA: "We Blew It With Bullfrog and Westwood"

EA CEO John Riccitiello has admitted at DICE that the publisher made a mess of acquiring Bullfrog and Westwood developers.
"We at EA blew it, and to a degree I was involved in these things, so I blew it... When I talked to the creators that populated these companies at the time, they felt like they were buried and stifled... The command and conquer model doesn't work," noted Riccitiello. "If you think you're going to buy a developer and put your name on the label... you're making a profound mistake."
Pledging an optimistic future for recently acquired studies Bioware and Pandemic Riccitiello intends to avoid making similar mistakes. Although it's nice to hear EA admit to 'naffing' up some great developers, I'd have preferred my "Theme Park/Hospital and C&C titles" to be coming along naturally and uninterrupted...

Theme Park, Theme Hospital, two of the most innovative games created and where are their next-gen incarnations of beautiful shiny goodness...?

RA2 was one of my favorite RTS games of all time and then they released Generals.

With Bullfrog, I thought that Populous was amazing, but then EA never followed up with it.
