Still no European or American release date for the wii balance board. The pressure sensitive pad has been a storm in Japan, already shifting over one million units since its release in December. However if you think it's a gimmick to just be used with the title WiiFit then you would be dead wrong.Shigeru Miyamoto has said in a recent interview with Famitsu magazine that Nintendo are considering making other games for use with the peripheral depending on how well it performs overseas. One such idea is the release today of Family Ski in Japan, which offers an option to use the balance board during play.
This could open the door to more sports related games in the future to help people lose weight, or just to have some good old fashioned fun.
